Diving Area
The most common diving style in Yakushima island is Boat Dive with a guide at the ISSO area.
The boat leaves from Isso Fishing Port and dives at various points.
From ISSO fishing port to each dive site is very close, about 3 to 5 minutes.
That’s why the boat comes back to the port every 1dive, and we take a surface interval at ISSO fishing port (on land) for about 40-60 min.
We will decide which location to dive in based on the weather and sea conditions of the day.

How to entry
We enter the water by back roll entry from a boat.
And we can use a line to enter and descend because there is a permanent buoy and rope in each point.
Because the current is so weak all the time at all diving point, both beginners and veterans can enjoy it.
Standard Schedule
Our daily schedule is roughly like this:
08:00 Pick up at the hotel
08:20 Local meeting time
08:30 Arrive at the boat
08:45-09:45 The first dive
09:50-10:40 Surface interval at Isso Fishing Port
10:45-11:45 The second dive
12:00-13:00 Lunch at Isso Fishing Port
13:15-14:15 The third dive
14:45-15:15 Shower and change of clothes
15:15-16:00 Logging
16:00 Break up
We do 1 dive or 2 dives in the morning, and you can do an optional 1 dive in the afternoon if you wish. (You can dive a total of three dives per day)
In Yakushima, the boat returns to port after each dive. So it is also possible for you to dive only in the morning (or afternoon).
If you are doing two dives in the morning, the flow will be as follows:
08:00 Pick up at the hotel
08:20 Local meeting time
08:30 Arrive at the boat
08:45-09:45 The first dive
09:50-10:40 Surface interval at Isso Fishing Port
10:45-11:45 The second dive
12:15-12:45 Shower and change of clothes
12:45-13:30 Logging

You can join from the second or third dive depending on your arrival time in Yakushima.
It is also possible to do two dives in the afternoon, although it depends on our availability.
After Diving
After FunDiving, we will go to my shop in Miyanoura to take a shower and change clothes.
However, it takes 20 minutes to drive from Isso Beach to my shop in Miyanoura.
For guests arriving by rental car, I will provide waterproof seat covers for you to place on the seats. Please drive with your wetsuit or swimwear on, following behind my car.
Would you like to write your dive log?
If you won’t be doing logging, it’s also possible to dismiss on-site. In that case, I will bring a portable hot water shower for you. You can use that to shower and change at the local restrooms, making on-site dismissal possible.
